Clinical Research

Utica Park Clinic Research currently has the following studies open for enrollment:

  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II: For patients on no medications for the treatment of DMII or presently on Metformin or Metformin and Glipizide/Glyburide/Glimipiride, but inadequately controlled on these medications (i.e. Fasting blood sugars greater than 110).
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II: For patients on Metformin at least 1500 mg per day, but inadequately controlled on this medication (i.e. Fasting blood sugars greater than 110).
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II: For patients on Metformin and either Glipizide/Glyburide/Glimipiride, but inadequately controlled on these medications (i.e. Fasting blood sugars greater than 110).
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II: For patients on Metformin and Pioglitazone (Actos), but inadequately controlled on these medications (i.e. Fasting blood sugars greater than 110).
  • Diabetes Mellitus Type II: For patients on Metformin and one other anti-diabetic agent, but inadequately controlled on these medications (i.e. Fasting blood sugars greater than 110).
  • Female Sexual Dysfunction: For patients who have undergone a complete hysterectomy and are on a stable dose of estrogen therapy.

For each of these trials, qualifying volunteers will receive study drug, all study related procedures and exams at no cost. In some studies, volunteers will be compensated for their time and travel expenses.
