Kim Kmita, APRN-CNM, WHNP-BC, has been involved in the healthcare field since 1996. She has been a Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner since 2005. She is recognized by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing as a Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner, Certified Nurse Midwife, and a Certified Registered Nurse.
Ms. Kmita earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Langston University in 1996. In 2004, she received certification as a Nurse Midwife from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY. In 2005, she earned her Master of Science degree in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. That same year, she also received certification as a Women’s Healthcare Nurse Practitioner from the Frontier School of Midwifery and Family Nursing in Hyden, KY.
Ms. Kmita has experience in gynecological care and obstetrical care. She is certified as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider and in Basic Life Support. Ms. Kmita is also certified as a breastfeeding educator.
When she’s not tending to the needs of her patients, Ms. Kmita enjoys spending time with her family. Her hobbies include reading, gardening, and photography.
Ms. Kmita welcomes new patients. Most insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, are accepted. Her office is located on the campus of Hillcrest Medical Center inside the Peggy V. Helmerich Women's Health Center at 1120 S. Utica in Tulsa. Appointments can be set by calling 918.392.0175 between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
